Best Cars to Buy Under £35K
On October 18, 2022 by JimmyIf you don’t have the luck of winning a car competition. This article will let you know the best cars to buy for under £35k. The £35k budget bracket offers plenty when talking about combining a degree of style and a better than standard performance. These are cars which you may be able to pick up for under £35k brand new but can most definitely pick up in a meticulous condition used.
7. BMW 3 Series.
You’re able to pick up what’s known as the standard for saloons within budget. Unless you know the dealer, a brand new 3 series for that price is a long shot, but from £27k upwards you’re able to find a good engine and a range of trim levels. You’re looking at the mid-range petrol-powered 320i, capable of over 40mpg, in ultra-desirable M Sport trim.
6. Mazda MX-5
This cute Mazda 2-seater is the world’s most popular sports car for a reason. It’s fantastic. There’s nothing superfast about the MX-5, but it handles well like almost anything else. The benefit of this is that it is great fun without posing a danger to other road users or to your license.
All generations are catered to, so you won’t run out of options. Despite being a two-person vehicle and having a smallish boot, it is extremely reliable, easy to own, and cheap to operate. There have been models with folding metal hard-tops, but most come with fabric convertible tops. Fibreglass hard tops may be available on older models in the coldest or wettest seasons.
5. Ford Fiesta ST
It may be a step outside the usual definition of a sports car – but we wanted to introduce you to a whole world of affordable used fast hatchbacks that offer many of the same thrills as a traditional sports car. Fresh ones can be had for less than £20k. One of Fiesta’s sportiest models is a great example. It handles corners beautifully thanks to its highly tuned engine. If you need to calm down and do the shopping or school run, the ST is probably the best. It is cheap and easy to run.
4. BMW Z4
The smooth power of the 6-cylinder engine under the Z4’s long bonnet makes it a great long-distance cruiser. The traditionally styled sports car is fast, especially in a straight line. It comes as a coupe or roadster and has been around long enough for older models to be sporty bargains.
3. Nissan 370Z
Nissan’s sports car has a muscular body that betrays its classic fast car character. No matter which version of the car you drive, acceleration is sizzling, and the car drives like a serious hairy-chested sports car. It’s no longer made anymore, but older models have proved reliable and used prices can be very reasonable.
2. Jaguar F-Type
In order to access this premium two-seat sports car, we need to push over £30k. However, that’s not surprising since it looks classy, is thrilling to drive, and has a range of powerful engines that sound awesome. F-Types are offered as convertibles or coupes, neither of which offer much luggage space.
1. Audi TT
The TT is a great everyday sports car, whether you choose the 2-seat convertible or the 4-seat coupe. A cool design and premium branding go hand in hand. There’s a lot of class in the coupe’s interior, even if the back seats are awkward and cramped. The convertible doesn’t even any rear seats. The coupe does offer a usefully big boot area under the tailgate though. It’s fast, fun and lots of versions come with Quattro 4-wheel drive for added grip. For£25k, you could go for a 2018 car with fairly low mileage.
